WHO'S WHO?

Remember you described yourselves some classes ago. Somebody wrote:
"I am a self-confident and sensitive woman. I am friendly, easy-going and sometimes a little shy.
I like to spend my free time with friends, and love practicing sports, especially running. I'm very active.
I'm tall and brunette. I have long hair, brown eyes and a small nose"
Can you guess if the "unknown lady" is in the pic?
BTW, you all look great!

A Succesful Team Beats With One Heart

Dear all,

In today's class we talked about proverbs and sayings and adages, and I do believe some truth lies in the title of this entry, which is in fact a saying. Somebody once said: " The whole is greater than the sum of the parts"
It was a great pleasure to see you all this evening working together in a collaborative way in order to recall meanings of vocabulary items. You consulted each other, relied on each other, corrected and encouraged each other in a way that reflected the very essence of "synergy". After all, this is what learning and living is all about, isn't it? CHEERS!

You know what TEAM stands for?

ORAL PRESENTATION SEASON !!!

As from today, you have started the difficult task of speaking in front of an audience, and Adalberto was the first presenter of our class. Congratulations, Adalberto!!! I'm very proud of you because I do know what it means to pluck up courage to do what you've done today. Don't take the cartoon too seriously, please! You seemed to be so interested in the topic and you spoke so passionately tonight that I couldn't help imagining you could have been a hippie, too. (Just kidding!)
We all left the classroom today having learned something new, and that was thanks to the careful study and preparation that you devoted to your presentation on the HIPPIE COUNTERCULTURE.
I'm absolutely sure ALL OF YOU will benefit from these oral presentations since you will be polishing your reading and speaking skills and you will learn not only about the topic of your interest, which is taking you time and tons of effort ( I know that, believe me!), but also from the topics presented by your classmates, which might eventually arouse lots of personal queries and further interest in the topic.

I think it will be rewarding to receive comments on your own presentations from your classmates. Don't you think so? Don't hesitate to leave your comments and a friendly word here.

O me! O life!
O me! O life! of the questions of these recurring.Of the endless trains of the faithless, of cities fill'd with the foolish.Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)Of eyes that vainly crave the light, of the objects mean, of the struggle ever renew'd.Of the poor results of all, of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me, Of the empty and useless years of the rest, with the rest me intertwined,The question, O me! so sad, recurring -- What good amid these, O me, O life?Answer That you are here--that life exists and identity,That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.

If...

In today's class we worked with my all-time-favorite song My way, which you did seem to enjoy very much, too, and we compared and contrasted it with the poem If I had my life to live over. The song and the poem present two perspectives on life, which turned out to be thought-provoking and which led to a very interesting discussion.

Congrats!

Dear All,
